What its like having irish twins (2 under 2)
I remember when I found out I was pregnant, amari my first child was just a couple of months. I was definitely shocked and wondered how it was all going to play out. I was super excited to find out it was a girl (my little playmate) I had a very strong feeling it was a girl even before finding out. I wasn’t really sure how it would all pan out with two babies under two but I quickly found similar women who had survived the same task. I did quite a lot of research because I wanted to make sure I understood what was about to happen. When Avanna (my daughter) was born my whole life changed, I was now a mother of two with twice the diapers, twice the responsibilities. I
was really glad I had such a strong support system and my husband and I’s hands were always full. Between waking up at nights and feedings our days became super busy. Our day consists of waking up at 6/7am when both babies wake up and feeding them, most of the time they have at least two naps a day. Between those naps I try to get some work done and get some me time in (if I can) Bedtime is also one of the times where we try to slow everything down but by 7pm both babies are asleep. Now that Avanna is 5 months and Amari is almost 18 months things have calmed down a lot, I can say having irish twins gets easier with time and with a good support system.
